Album Update for Kickstarter Backers: The recording part is finished. On to mixing!

It has been an incredibly busy month, and I am happy to report that the recording phase of production has finally come to a close. Now, we are on to the mixing phase. Of course, this means I am a bit behind schedule. I hope you will forgive me. I am just trying to make the best record possible, without cutting any corners. I have had to wait for certain schedules to mesh with my own, and now I have accomplished what I set out to accomplish as far as the recording process goes.

We have added percussion, guitars, background vocals, and I have fixed all the stuff in my own performances that I needed to fix. The record is sounding great in its present form, so I can only bite down on my shirt collar and wait to hear how great it is going to sound when it is mixed by (drumroll, please), the one and only Ian Hendrickson-Smith. More on Ian in my next update.

The mugs many of you ordered are now in the mail from the factory to me. I can’t wait to see them. I have received quotes on vinyl production, and that is all in the works. Everything is going great, just a little slower than I had anticipated.

As far as when you are going to get your rewards, it breaks down like this:

• The first reward available will be the digital download, both the new record, and any other downloads you might have ordered. As soon as the new record is ready, I will send out a survey through Kickstarter asking for your most current email address, i.e. where you would like the download delivered. If you ordered a mug and a download, the mugs will be in my hands by that time, so I will be mailing them at that time.
• The next rewards available will be physical CDs. Again, I will send out a Kickstarter survey and get your current mailing address at that time. Mugs will be sent with the CDs, if you ordered mugs.
• The last thing to be available will be the vinyl. Unfortunately, there is a pretty long turnaround for vinyl production, and I can’t send them the masters until everything is ready. Please be patient if you ordered vinyl. It is coming! Hard to say exactly when, but it is definitely in the works.

As far as how the digital downloads will be delivered, I will be sending you a code that you can enter on the great bandcamp.com web site, where I have uploaded my five previous records, along with some great never-before-available bonus tracks, which you will also receive–if you ordered my complete digital catalog.
